My name is Meghin and I’m the Assistant Brewer at Swan Brewing. I started my beer journey through home brewing and trying everything at different breweries and beer bars. I started as a bartender at Two Henry’s, then was offered a job at Swan. While I still love talking about beer to whoever will listen, I felt a pull towards brewing. I constantly begged to help in the back. Finally, I was tasked to clean kegs, then I started shadowing our head brewer and was eventually hired on to work in the back. Swan has allowed me to learn and experiment. I am the Chapter Lead for Girls Pint Out Lakeland and the Financial Liaison for the Pink Boots Florida chapter. It’s become more apparent to me how strongly I feel about women within our industry and the new pull I have to help in anyway possible. |
